A Grace That Grafts | Pastor Jamie Grisham

Sep 28, 2025    Jamie Grisham

This week we dive deep into Romans 11:13–24, where Paul uses powerful imagery, first fruits, roots, and branches, to reveal what it really means to belong to the family of God.

Key Themes in This Message:

• First fruit & Lump of Dough (Numbers 15) If the first portion is set apart for God, the whole batch is considered holy.

➤ If God has made the root holy, everything connected to it shares in that calling.

• The Olive Tree Analogy, Some branches were broken off, and we (Gentiles) were grafted in.

➤ Don’t boast, stay humble. We don’t support the root… the ROOT (Jesus) supports us.

• What Does “Holy” Really Mean?

It’s not about being morally perfect, it means being set apart for God’s purpose.

• Jesus: The Root of Jesse (Isaiah 11) The promised shoot from the stump who brings life not just to Israel but to all nations.

• Warning & Encouragement (Romans 11:22)

➤ “Consider the goodness and severity of God.”

Our place isn’t secured by performance, but by persevering faith. Stay rooted. Don’t drift.

ABIDE | Not Achieve

Jesus said in John 15:4-5, “Abide in Me… for without Me you can do nothing.”

He isn’t commanding us to produce fruit, He’s inviting us to stay connected.

👉 My reward is the FRUIT. My responsibility is to ABIDE.

Watch now and ask yourself:

✅ Am I truly rooted in Christ?

✅ Have I drifted into arrogance or unbelief?

✅ Am I striving, or abiding?
