Pastor Jamie Grisham Compassion Church Encounter Sunday
What happens when we truly encounter the glory of God? In Isaiah 6, the prophet steps into the temple and is forever changed. He doesn’t just feel the presence of God, he experiences His power, His holiness, and His glory in a way that shifts everything. Isaiah enters undone, aware of his own brokenness, but he leaves cleansed, forgiven, and ready to respond to God’s call: “Here am I, send me.”
Encounter Sunday is a moment for us to do the same, to position ourselves in the presence of God and hunger for more than just a good feeling. His presence can be felt, but His glory transforms. It takes us from comfort to conviction, from weakness to empowerment, from merely attending church to becoming the Church.
If you’ve been longing for breakthrough, deeper intimacy with God, or clarity in your calling, this is the place to draw near. Come hungry, come expectant, and come ready to respond. Because when you step into the glory of God, you won’t leave the same, you’ll leave transformed, filled, and sent.
