Verse: Revelation 22:13 NKJV “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Devotional: Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. When Jesus uses this name, He is making something very clear. He is the beginning and the end of all things. Nothing starts without Him. Nothing finishes outside of Him. This speaks to God’s authority over time, over creation, and over every detail of our lives. He isn’t just present in moments. He holds the full picture from start to finish. That is something we struggle to understand. We live in the middle. We see what is right in front of us, but what we don’t see is how it all connects. We don’t know how things will turn out.

That uncertainty can create fear, pressure, and the need to control what we can. But Alpha and Omega reminds us that God is not in the middle trying to figure things out. He is already at the end. Isaiah 46:10 says, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done.” God sees what we cannot. He knows what is ahead, and He is not surprised by anything we face. This means your life is not random. Your story is not unfolding without direction. Even when things feel unclear or unfinished, God is still writing the story. Philippians 1:6 says, “He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” What God starts, He finishes. There are seasons where it feels like you are in the middle of something that doesn’t make sense.

Prayers that feel unanswered, situations that feel unresolved, and growth that feels slow. But the middle isn’t the end. Alpha and Omega reminds us that God is faithful from beginning to end. He is present in the start, steady in the process, and definite in the outcome. Revelation 1:8 says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega… who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” This isn’t just about time. It is about His unchanging nature through every season. When you begin to trust God as Alpha and Omega, you stop panicking in the middle. You begin to trust that what you can’t see is still in God’s hands. You don’t have to have every answer. You just need to trust the One who holds the beginning and the end. Today is a reminder that your life is not unfinished in God’s eyes. He sees it fully, He is writing it faithfully, and He will bring it to completion.

Prayer: You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are the beginning and the end, and You hold every part of my life in Your hands. When I feel uncertain or unsettled, remind me that You already know the details in full. Nothing catches You off guard. Help me to trust You in the middle of things that feel incomplete. Strengthen my faith to believe that what You have started, You will finish. I release my need to control and choose to trust Your timing and plan. Thank You for being faithful from beginning to end.
