Verse: Lamentations 3:22–23 NKJV “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”

Devotional: On our final day of our 21 Days of Prayer, we close with the faithfulness of God. Faithful God isn’t just something we say. It’s who He is. From beginning to end, Scripture shows a God who keeps His word, who doesn’t change, and who remains steady through every generation. People change and circumstances shift. Seasons come and go. But God remains faithful. That is the foundation of everything. Lamentations was written in a time of loss and devastation. Nothing about the situation looked hopeful. Yet right in the middle of it, this truth was declared. His mercies are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness. God’s faithfulness isn’t dependent on our situation, on how we feel, or how well we have done. It flows from His character. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Even when we struggle, even when we fall short, God still doesn’t change.

He is always consistent. That doesn’t mean life is always easy or predictable. There are seasons that stretch us, moments that test us, and prayers that take time. But through all of it, God remains steady. He does not walk away, forget, or fail. Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy.” What He promises, He fulfills. Looking back over these past days, we have seen different names of God. Each one reveals a part of who He is. Creator. Most High. Provider. Healer. Shepherd. Redeemer. King. Faithful God ties it all together. He isn’t just those things in moments. He is those things consistently. He has been the same since before the earth was formed and will be throughout eternity. There may be areas in your life where you are still waiting.

Prayers that have not been answered yet. Situations that are still unfolding. It can be easy to question, to wonder if God will come through. Faithful God reminds us that He always does. Not always in the way we expect, and not always in the timing we prefer, but always according to His character. Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” As these 21 days come to an end, this is what we hold onto. God is faithful yesterday, today, and forever. Because He is faithful, we can trust Him fully with our lives.

Prayer: God, You are faithful. Your faithfulness never changes, no matter what I face. Looking back, I can see Your hand at work in every area of my life. Even in moments I didn’t understand, You were still present and still moving. Help me to trust You in the areas where I am still waiting. Strengthen my faith to believe that what You have promised, You will fulfill. Thank You for Your mercy, Your consistency, and Your care. You have never failed, and You never will. I choose to trust You today and moving forward. You are my faithful God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
